Finishing land cycles is great, I really think some of the hinted at cycles in future sight should be completed/added to. I also think commander decks would be a great candidate to reprint original dual lands, future sight lands, fetches, and battlebond lands. A frustrating trend Ive seen, particularly in the MH3 decks is lands that check for land types (Say untapped if you reveal a forest) yet the duals are primarily non-typed. Similarly few of these duals are fetchable with the fetches printed in the set.

I think the flip version should have been blue/white, not blue/green. Why would a moonfolk be green anyways? Makes no sense.

Fortifications seem like they could be very fun! Basically equipment for land, could make basic lands more interesting making them part land part utility land

I think Discover's a great mechanic but we do have to accept that it's still free spells and, technically, an even higher value spell than Cascade could be. That means, as we saw, it's just as breakable as Cascade is just in a bit of a different way.

Why would regenerate on common/uncommon be more problematic than on rares ?

I think Mental Misstep needs to be unbanned, reprinted, and should appear in every Core Set. Is how significantly I disagree with the popular opinions. Everything the mechanic is decried for is a good thing. Sol Ring and Mental Misstep help build decks. If the correct thing is to use the mechanic, it's a fun mechanic to play. You get to do what it asks you to do more often.

Please ban the indestructible bridges!! They are the reason some kind of advantage like makeshift, and before atog, glitters etc becomes so unfair even right now when we have only makeshift munitions... Pleaaaaseeeee they're the source of all evil! The gorilla - afinity balance worked just well!

Watching this after the plug in shuffle up and play. This always irked me, and the flavour rationale of "multiple mana bonds with the same land" feels weak, since it doesn't justify why that isn't the case with actual legendary lands. I feel like there's an extremely simple solution, especially considering the pathways were already in the set. Dual-modal but the back is just a green producing tap-land. Literally the same card expect without the static ability and the sac ability, since you only need one copy of those parts. This lets the World Tree still be and feel legendary, but if you draw multiple you play it on it's back, "branch of the world tree" or something.

I wish Gavin would just take over the Mtg Story and coordinate all the writers and art designers. I bet the quality of the storytelling and design would increase

Gavin, can you elaborate on the ongoing back and forth decision whether to exclude foils of regular (non face legend) commander deck cards in Collector boosters? It seems some sets like New Capenna it is possible to open them, while most sets it isn't. Meanwhile MH3 has it even more confusing where Ripple foils are exclusive to the Premium decks but regular foils can't be found in Boosters I was looking forward to picking up foil copies of Dragon Broodtyrant, Gluttonous Hellkite and Infested Thrinax, but the ripple foils don't match the traditional Jund aesthetics

I got the eldrazi one for $65 at my LGS, felt extremely lucky - and playing it has been soooo much fun so far! Definitely excited to upgrade a few things but overall worth it 100%

Yah love seeing on a common. It would be really cool to see a legendary creature with you can play any number an grandeur, but the flavor need to be there like a title that is pass down generation after generation could be cool.

As someone who has a Dimir Edh deck built around Grandeur, I may be the monority on this but I would love to see more legends I can bounce back from the field or grab from the grave and discard for effects.

Changing it from 8 energy symbols to the number 8 is a thing I'd been asking for for quite a while. Putting more than 5 of a symbol on something makes it pretty annoying to count without a line break. The Romans figured that out, what, MMD years ago?

Hi Gavin ! I get that designers doesn't have pauper in mind while creating a set, though... could we have a reprint of Dust to dust ? It's 30 years old this year 😅 And especialy hard to find here in Europe... Thx for caring about the format !
